Japan Night Party
Terracotta Festival 2011 proudly welcomes the following special guests to London: Tak Sakaguchi, Rina Takeda, Clement Cheng, Sam Voutas.
Japanese bands and cosplay!
Cosplayers, Japan-o-philes and film fans alike are welcome to join our official Japan Night Party where you can unwind and drink and meet fellow festival-goers. Be entertained later in the evening by Japanese bands Peter Parker Rocks and Sunset Drive.
Peter Parker and his all-female Japanese band play their unique style of 60s pop and bluesy rock-n-roll with attitude. They’ve recorded in LA and are due to record in London in the same place as the Rolling Stones did and have already gained a big following.
Appearing as part of the It Came From Japan tour, Sunset Drive bring us a fusion of Japanese indie pop with a New Zealander singer/ frontman. Though they have drawn comparisons with The Strokes, perhaps it’s because of the antipodean influence that we feel this is more like fun-loving sunshine-filled West Coast-flavoured pop rock.
