Film Main Info

Set during the tumultuous period when China had yet to be born from the unification of seven warring states, this story follows Big Soldier (Jackie Chan), an ex-farmer and reluctant conscript from the state of Liang.

By a freakish stroke of luck – and perhaps his survival tactic of feigning death till the end of a battle – he finds himself one of two survivors of a skirmish with the state of Wei, the other being an enemy general (Leehom Wang) who has been incapacitated by his injuries.

Big Soldier quickly pounces on this golden opportunity to take him prisoner, determined to trade him for his own discharge from the army. But the cowardly, easy-going Big Soldier soon finds his younger and more ambitious captive, Little Soldier, a tough nut to crack.

In no time at all, they are tumbling through one misadventure after another and discover that a band of Wei conspirators with dark plans for Little Soldier hot on their heels.

A brilliant comedy and touching tale reportedly 20 years in the making, Little Big Soldier looks set to be a new favourite for fans of Jackie Chan fans, action flicks and road trip movies.
